WHAT IS ALS?


The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a parallel learning system in the Philippines that provides a practical option to the existing formal instruction. ALS allows out-of-school youth and adults to have access to and complete basic education in a mode that fits their distinct situations and needs.

ALS in Dasmariñas City needs support in providing learning and teaching resources to ALS students and mobile teachers and improving the condition of community learning centers.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL


Senior High School refers to Grades 11 and 12, the last two years of specialized upper secondary education part of the K to 12 program. SHS students may choose among three tracks: Academic, Technical Vocational Livelihood, and Sports and Design. On their final year, students undergo an immersion program which provides them with an hands-on experience in an actual work site where they can apply their competencies relevant to their chosen track.

DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT

WHAT IS DRRM?


Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) in DepEd aims to plan for educational continuity in the face of expected hazards and threats, safeguard education sector investments, and strengthen risk reduction and resilience through education.

We are looking for partners to support DRRM training in schools and learning centers, improving school disaster-response facilities, and providing emergency and first aid kits to teachers and students.
